Between May 2019 and October 2020 the Islands Revival blog collected stories of population turnaround on islands around the world and identified ways of supporting such developments through policy and action. Dynamic and exciting stories came from many Scottish islands, Ireland, Canada and the Caribbean.
This gathering of evidence at the island level led to the important Islands Revival Declaration, which has helped to shift perspectives and action on Scottish islands.
Islands Revival was a partnership between CoDeL, the James Hutton Institute, SRUC and Community Land Scotland, and the Scottish Government-funded SEFARI Responsive Opportunity Initiative.
