Young leaders

With funding from the Scottish Government, and a partnership with the Social Enterprise Academy, CoDeL is building on its research on young people on Uist by developing a leadership programme for them. The accredited programme will enable a cohort of 12 to 16 young people reflect on their role as leaders, acquire new skills, develop their enterprise, organisation or area of work, and support each other as peers in advancing new or existing initiatives.  Together they will enhance their contribution to island communities, raise the profile of young people and the positive impact they are having, and give young people greater voice. The Scottish Government is hoping that this pilot will generate a workable model that can be replicated in other remote rural areas of Scotland.  If you would be interested in this for your own local area, do get in touch with us at info@codel.scot
