Latest news and website from CoDeL

We launch CoDeL’s new website today. Thank you to Liam Crouse for revamping the website.

Our Islands Revival blog is coming to a close, and has brought together some great posts from islands across Scotland, as well as from Arranmore in Ireland, Prince Edward Island in Canada and from the Caribbean. The project’s concluding workshop will be held at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on Skye at the end of August 2019.

And now CoDeL is partnering with islands in Ireland, off Donegal, Mayo, Galway and Cork in the Smart Islands project. The project will enable lots of knowledge exchange on how to develop islands, with a special focus on supporting young people to return, stay or settle on islands, and to set up enterprises and community initiatives.

Uist will be sharing all the work we have developed over the last decade and more on local economic and community development, on enterprise and young people. It will also allow us to continue to support the group of young leaders who participated in the leadership programme on Uist (see here), as well as their peers.
